I just recently bought a Canon 50D. This is a great quality camera. It is on the higher end of the DSLR cameras that Canon produces and I am really happy with it. Some high level specifications include a 15.1 megapixel cmos sensor, digic 4 image processor and a 3 inch lcd screen that has 920,000 pixels. The 15.1 megapixel cmos sensor allows the camera to take photos with a resolution of up to 4752 x 3168 pixels. You can blow up some amazing photos without losing any quality. My favorite part of this camera is how fast images are captured. I can snap tons of photos in a row without any slowdown. Its a good idea to get a high speed UDMA compact flash card. You will be able to capture more consectuive photos. The digic proccessor is extremely fast on this model and you can caputre upto 6.3 frames per second! The lcd screen on the 50D is extremely sharp. I find this really helpfull when im reviewing pictures and adusting the camera settings to get the best quality shot.
